After a rainy Friday, golfers brace for high winds Saturday afternoon at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Kurt Kitayama navigated the Pebble Beach Golf Links in two-under-par 70 on Friday to take a one-shot lead at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Played at three courses in the Monterey area, golfers battled breeze and rain for most of the day, with more blustery conditions forecast for the weekend. First-round leader Hank Lebioda shot an even-par 72 at Pebble Beach and is among four golfers tied for second through two rounds at eight-under. In the pro-am competition, Ben Silverman and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers take a five-shot lead into the third round after an 11-under 60 at Monterey Peninsula Country Club.

On Thursday, the tournament put lift, clean and place protocols in play because of the potential of rain and Saturday's third round will tee off an hour earlier than originally scheduled because of high winds forecast for the afternoon.

Ireland's Seamus Power had the low round of the day on Friday, finishing early-par-birdie at Monterey Peninsula for a seven-under 64. That moved him into a tie for sixth at seven-under for the tournament.

In the pro-am, Doc Redman and actor Michael Peña moved into a tie for fourth after blistering Monterey Peninsula with a 12-under 59.
